Part 61 or Part 141?

Both lead to the same FAA pilot certificates. Part 141 is the FAA rule set for certificated pilot schools: each course a school runs under it must follow a syllabus that meets that rule's requirements for the course. A school's certificate doesn't tell you which courses it offers today, so ask. The private pilot course under Part 141 has a lower minimum, 35 hours against 40 under Part 61. These are minimums, not how long training will take you. Part 61 training is more flexible on schedule and order.
